FINCH IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: HE IS THE BIG BRINDLE BOY! BBBR Foster Mom Hilary reports: I just wanted to give you an update on Finch. He is doing really well with the other dogs. The longer he has been here in foster, the less threatened he is by the other dogs and as he gets to know them he doesn't feel the need to try and dominant. He gets really excited and likes little Pugs and Chihuahuas. He doesn't really like big dogs that are young and hyper, although he is hyper and playful himself. I have been trying to get him to play with the other dogs sometimes he gets grumpy with them. My grumpy cat hisses at him and slaps him when he runs by and he looks at her but has never gone after or chased her. He does well with my pot belly pig and lamb. I am going out to visit my horses this weekend and I am taking him with to see how he responds. I think at this point, with a proper/slow introduction, he can live with another non-dominant dog but not too submissive either because I think he will take advantage of that and try to correct. I have him crated in a wire crate right next to Lenny aka Dante, Lenny will guard his crate and bark at Finch but Finch does not respond to him when he does that and I think by slowly introducing him to the other dogs through the crate/fence was the key. He has really come around and is doing really well. I am proud of him. He is so goofy, kinda dumb and dopey but that's what gives him character......
