Hi my name is Meeka, a strong hearted girl. My family brought a new bundle of human joy home, and I am not happy with the new arrival, so need to find a new home with no children, or children old enough to be gentle and give me treats (ages 8 and up). I spend a lot of time outdoors, but also love to hike and go camping. I even started to swim last summer! My Labrador friend was teaching me all there was to know about swimming. I love to chase mice and sometimes dig, but only if I am going after something or trying to cool down in the hot sun. I don't mind cats, I grew up with one and we were best friends. I am crate trained and don?t mind staying inside a fenced area alone during the day. It is really great when there is a lot of snow to play in, that is my favorite time of year. I am nice and mellow when inside the house, but do prefer to be outside if it's not too hot. When with my humans I like to hang out on my back and welcome belly rubs, but be careful of my paws, I am very ticklish! At night, I find my favorite pillow and snuggle in for some quality shut eye, since I know better than to get on the other furniture in the house. I love food, so all food I can reach is fair game. Be warned, I especially love pizza. I can be a bit pushy with other dogs, and would get along best with a mellow male. I have been learning human tricks, and am getting really good at "sit," "down","kennel up",and "load up",but could use more practice. I have not spent much time on a leash but am willing to learn if you want to teach me. I do talk a lot, which makes people not familiar with Mal-s-chatter nervous, but if you like a talker, I am the girl for you!
