Super sweet Norwegian Forest Cat in Boise, Idaho For Sale

You don?t see one of these very often, Lena is a 2 year old Dilute Calico with a beautiful long coat and a lovely plumed tail; due to her large mane, wide fluffy feet and her coat we think she is a Norwegian Forest Cat mix. Okay so she?s not exactly a rare breed, but you sure don?t see too many of these around. This girl has lovely shades of grey, brown and almost a pale rust color, with her belly and very long ruff hair stark white. And she has the most expressive and stunning golden/green eyes.
Sadly someone wasn't very nice to this girl in the recent past. She came to Fuzzy Pawz matted (so she is missing a bit of fur), dirty and a bit frightened of people. She also had a bad UTI and didn't want to eat for her foster mom for a few days. Hard to believe that someone went to the trouble to have her spayed, have her declawed and at some point was having her groomed just to turn around and make her afraid of people.
Now Lena is healthy and has learned that people are nice and that they feed her; she is a happy girl who likes to talk to you when you come home (and to remind you that it is dinner time). Lena LOVES to have you scratch under her chin and down her neck and of course a good scratch behind the ears is always welcome. She likes to lay by you and just nap; though she isn?t a huge fan of being picked up.
She appears to be good with other cats and while we have only had her around 1 dog she did very well we would say she would be good with cat friendly dogs. We have found that cats who are too pushy tend to stress her out a great deal. Due to Lena's past please no young kids (over 12 please) for Lena; a quieter household would be better. Lena really craves attention and affection and really wants a best friend. Now that she is healthy this beautiful girl is just waiting for a family to love and spoil her in the manner she was born to be loved and spoiled.
Lena is just now learning to play with toys and while she doesn't give it her all yet she does really seem to enjoy playing with her feathered toy. And give her a box and she will climb inside, climb outside and bat at it with her paws - it is hilarious.
Please keep in mind that Lena will need to be brushed regularly (especially the long main on her chest). She was amazing at the groomer; no problem being brushed and was wonderful during a bath! She even sat perfectly still while the groomer clipped her nails.
Lena is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations

**We are working on teaching her to stay off the counters (this is a new thing in her new foster home, she's never done this anywhere else).
