Super Sweet Border Collie mix in Boise, Idaho For Sale

Baby is a Border Collie mix whose owner was unable to keep her through no fault of her own. Fuzzy Pawz took her into their foster program and are trying to find this sweet girl a new home.
When we say that Baby is a Border Collie we mean it, she is ball CRAZY. Any ball, anything roundish, size doesn't matter. She went NUTS over when she saw a kid who was dribbling a basketball. She will jump and snap at bouncing balls. Her focus is intense on all balls and playing ball. She brings a ball/Kong and drops it at your feet then backs up and stares it down. Border Collie genes right there!
Baby LOVES all people; she does not hesitate showing everyone she meets a little bit of love. She would do great with a mature person/couple that likes daily brisk walks and would throw a ball (chuck it) too. She's easy, petite and mostly quiet. She gets a little anxious when one of us leaves and will bark and whine/cry, so she will need someone to work on this with her. She likes her space - she doesn't get too close or under foot, she wants human companionship and quick pets but she's not overly clingy. She needs to be reminded not to jump on people and she needs to un-learn hugging (she puts her feet on your shoulders when you sit on the floor with her). Because she does jump up on people sometimes she will need to go to a home with kids over 12, her foster home is working on this issue with her.
She crates/kennels easy. She is curious and unafraid. She's loves to go... walks, rides, go and she rides very nicely in the car! Baby walks well with a harness; she pulls the leash tight but has manageable pulling with the harness. It appears she has never worn a collar and we are pretty sure attached to a leash she would pull your arm off. She can walk with distractions and ignore them (people, garages, barking dogs) except balls - she will lose all common sense when a ball is in sight. She knows sit and obeys pretty well. She knows down but is inconsistent. She is submissive to any voice or body language that is assertive.
Baby does show guarding around some other dogs where toys and balls are concerned. She is currently fostered with a male 7 month old dominant dog and she does not think too much of him. She will growl and raise her lip if he gets around her toys and she does not like his over bearing play style. She was however raised around little dogs and did fine with them, but again she would need to go to a home where the other dog was not also possessive of toys. Ideally she would be an only dog or paired with a dog that is not interested in toys/balls (as of now she appears like she doesn't want to share). She's probably too intense for a cat.

Baby is approximately 10 year old and has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and weighs approximately 35 pounds. Please don?t let Baby?s age bother you ? Border Collies can easily live to be 16.
