Shy Border Collie/ACD Mix for adoption in Boise, Idaho For Sale

Behr here, I bet you have been wondering what I have been up to the last few weeks since going to my foster home. Well, here is the scoop.
When my Foster Mom Carol brought me home to Namp, ID, I did not know there were going to be three other cattle dog mixes in the house. They all really wanted to play with me, but I take a little time to get to know my friends. After a few days I could see that my foster siblings were pretty nice and no one was going to pick on me. Fast forward a couple of weeks and now I am actually playing with all of them and having a great time. I took a little longer to get to know Elly May the female cattle dog; well you know some times those older girls can be snarky. However, Elly May is really nice and now that I know she is not out to get me we are friends; we even like the same kind of toys.
My Foster Mom Carol figured out my secret; I just need patience, consistency, a calm person and or siblings along with a confident owner so I don't have to worry. I am completely house trained and am working on my crate training. I do okay in the crate, but I am still unsure about going in without some gentle guidance. I walk fabulously on a leash, if I do say so myself! I wear a harness when I go for walks, just in case I get scared by something. Some of the traditional command words scare me, so my foster mom is modifying them. Come is on my scary word list, so when it is time to come just say "Let's go" and I will be there! I know how to wait at the door, both coming in and out and I won't go through the door until you say "Let's go". I am working on sitting and laying down with hand signals as the words make me nervous. I have not perfected them just yet, but a calm "Good girl" sure makes me want to work for it!
I LOVE squeaky toys and Nyla bones. I play with the squeaky toys myself, throwing them up in the air and catching them. I am still not so sure about playing with toys when my foster mom is around, but I get a bit more comfortable with it every day. The vacuum and a person carrying things makes me a bit nervous, but every day I trust a little more that no one is ever going to hit me with things again.
I hate to admit this but you need to know the real me; I do have a pretty high prey drive. So please no homes with cats and probably not really small dogs (they just make me nervous). On the upside I will keep your yard vermin free.
Want to be my best friend? Take a seat and give me a few minutes to come to you. Once I trust you, I will put my head in your lap and seek out some gentle petting and of course that "Good Girl" affirmation.
Now let's talk about that big scary thing out side with 4 wheels, yep the car. I am slowly making progress to not panic when getting in/out of the car. I am actually a pretty good rider once I am in, but something about that open car door makes me nervous. I will keep practicing and will get it all figured out, I don?t panic quite as much as I used to.

All my friends at Fuzzy Pawz Rescue can tell you that I really am sweet and gentle; I?ve just lived with some really bad people in the past. Once I know I can trust you things will be just great and I will leave my bad memories behind ? the sky is the limit.
