Rosco is a 3 - 4 year old Australian Kelpie/Terrier mix has the most soulful eyes, a sweet demeanor and a great joy for life. Rosco has had a run of bad luck the last few months and he ended up in a shelter, Fuzzy Pawz couldn?t resist his enthusiasm for everything and place him in a foster home.
Rosco loves all people but he especially loves kids, he spends a good portion of his time hanging out and cuddling or playing with his teenage foster kids. Rosco loves to play with other dogs, large and small; however he does have strong prey drive and needs a home without cats, chickens or other small furry pets (little dogs are fine ? he's buddies with an 8 pound Chi). Rosco will need to go to a home that has another dog he can play with, the single life just isn?t for him.
As your typical ?good ?ol boy? Rosco is house trained, has learned how to use the dog door and is crate trained. Loves squeaky toys and enjoys a good game of fetch or chase; he also loves to swim and play in the water. Rosco is very muscular, agile and fast; he would make a great running or agility partner.
Rosco loves to be with people and can often be found wherever his foster mom is. Rosco knows a few basic commands: sit, no, off and is working on leave it, down, wait and perfecting his leash skills. He is very smart and good at following the house rules.
Rosco seems to have a special affinity for wheelchair bound people and will gently place his head up in their lap seeking affection. With some training Rosco could become a therapy dog.
Rosco will need a home with a securely fenced (6? please) yard with no chain link as this boy has figured out how to climb it. He is only about 35 pounds, all muscle and has a wiry build.
