We call Misty our very own Dancing Queen as she wiggles when she walks and loves to do a little dance when she is happy. Misty is sweet, gentle and loving to her people; she is a total joy to be around and come on how can you resist that oh so cute face. Misty is one of those dogs that just make you smile every time you see her face or watch her prance over to you for some loves.
Misty had quite the hard luck life before she came to Fuzzy Pawz, living her life in a small cage. But she has put those demons behind her and is ready to settle down on the couch for a nap and a bit of tv watching with her family. Misty loves nice long scratches and can be quite the cuddler! You?d never know that she had a bad first part of her life; she has learned that the world is an amazing place. We do require that Misty do not go to a home that has kids under 15 as she does get overwhelmed by too much going on.
Misty gets along fine with other small dogs but big dogs scare her. Misty would do best in a household that has other dogs her size or as an only dog where she can get all the love and attention. She is mostly fine with the cats in her foster home; she will on occasion take offense to them if they are being too pushy, but it is just barking.
Misty does have some neurological damage that makes her walk like a show horse instead of a dog. She prances where ever she goes but it doesn't slow her down at all, it is the only thing she has ever known and she gets around great. And it can sometimes take her an extra second to process information when she is tired or scared. This damage is not getting worse ? it was from trauma when she was born.
Misty is house trained but she can?t hold it more than 5-6 hours so she needs to go to a home who can accommodate that. She walks fairly well on a leash and is great in the house, she really is a great house mate.
She would love to spend her days dancing for you and sitting in your lap soaking up your love. She really is a playful, happy little girl who has turned lemons into lemonade.
